Who We Are

We are Wens Travel – a team of passionate professionals united by our goal to create tailor-made itineraries and deliver the best, unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience for all groups and travelers. This is our aim and we do not settle for less. We like to come up with new and innovative ideas, while at the same time being strong believers of old-fashioned customer service with personal attention. We will go the extra mile to make sure you will be more than satisfied and take pride in being known as a respectable and reliable partner in the Europe-based group travel business.

Our Story

Ever since Wens Travel was founded back in 1975, it has been our passion to set up, organize and execute countless of wonderful group tours for our clients. Our tours started with incoming groups from the United States and Canada, as well as group skiing trips in catered chalets. These departments expanded over the years. Eventually, a third branch - school trips - was developed to meet the demand for educational field tours within Europe. From here, Wens carried their educational tours to overseas markets, which also marked the beginning of our specialized group tours, including Performance Tours, History-, Battlefield- and Remembrance Tours, Faith-Based Tours and more.

The development of these specialized tours, made it possible to create more unique experiences and itineraries. We were not only able to have groups participate in major events and festivals, but in cooperation with our partners, we started to set up several unique events and festivals. We have had groups attend the famous Oberammergau Passion Play in every edition of the festival since 1980 and have additionally organized and hosted the Friendship Music Festival in Oberammergau. Other events include our own Passion for Music Festival at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the International Festival of Music in Amsterdam’s Royal Concertgebouw. In 2014 we worked with the Friendship Ambassador Foundation on the The Rhythms of One World International Choral Festival with performances at the Victoria Hall in Geneva and the Grand Finale taking place at the Headquarters of the United Nations. Wens Travel was also asked by the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) to organize and host their international conference in Utrecht in 2017.

We work solely with tailor-made itineraries, to meet every group’s specific wishes. We carefully select our tour managers and local guides, include group-adjusted sightseeing and only work with quality group hotels. For our music ensembles, we focus on exclusive venue choices and excellent masterclasses at well-known institutions. We collaborate with an extensive Europe-wide network of respected partners and a multi-lingual team of dedicated professionals with a passion for travel. Most importantly, Wens continues to innovate and improve, to keep moving forward and continue to exceed our groups’ and partners’ expectations. At Wens, we like to believe nothing is impossible. We go above and beyond to make your wishes reality.
